My hair profile:
I’ve medium thick, wavy hair. I wear a side part with a contour. At the moment, I’m using a boar hair brush, a Denman plus a detangler (Tangle teezer). During styling, I use brushes most. More about the tangle teezer on: https://piw74.com/2016/07/16/combs-brushes-afro-picks-an-inventory/
Scent:
Notes of citrus, lavender and cypress. My nose catches the citrus flavor the most. In the jar: fresh, tart, clean, an accessible scent. Scent reminds me of the O’Douds water based. I like it. Once in the hair: becomes more subtle, nicely balanced citrus aroma, not overbearing. Pleasurable, not pushy breezes throughout the day. Scent faded.
Application process – result:
The Easy tiger pomade comes in a light yellow wax tinge. Application on damp mane to command my waves plus styles easier as it has a firm strength. Scooping out: one good push and there it is. Rubbing between the hands: waxy, dry texture that breaks down toilless, a few good rubs will do it. No greasiness present. Did use 3 average licks. Putting in: tug and pull, grippy, therefore not facile to spread. Slicking back: again tug and pull employing a Denman brush. Then my beloved brush, the tangle teezer came in, resulting in a lot less resistance now. Styling Process: not smooth, not slick, discomfort from the tug and pull due to its high wax content. Control wise: good control. It kept the hairs down. Waves were straightened out well. Cowlick area stayed down nearly from the start because of the pomade’s sticky aspect. Waxy pomades allow loose hairs to show up but with ET, that wasn’t the case. There’s a balanced amount of oils and butter to avoid those issues. Weight in my hair: light-medium. Wanted to lift my front but that was not possible at once, did not have much of a volume at first but okay after some tweaking. Obtained average height with a clean, slick outlook. It took me more time to style then average. Post-styling: experienced no pain after all the tug but I noticed I had styled my hair. Everything was still kept in place looking back after 30 minutes.
Shine:
Semi-matte finish after SR. This is accurate. Shine the same, all day long.
Hold – endurance:
Labeled as a strong/firm hold. To me: definitely a firm. This pomade is a good midway between the medium TOWK and heavy MOM pomades. Provides great hold and great endurance under circumstances as a solid walk, bit of wind, low sun, temperatures in the 50’s. A great pomade for a hot summer most certainly. End of the day: no saggy hair, a few minor flyaways, still a great shape! Being honest and with all due respect for the brewer: styling wise, it’s too waxy for my hair and I don’t love much pull. But, in terms of the achieved results, I am satisfied for sure. If you are into waxy pomades, Easy tiger is one to buy! Another opinion comes from James Bui aka The pomp. I watched his review several times and he did not experience the same as me, it really worked out well for him. Thus: hair type does play its role for certain. Restyling:
Restyled my front after my hair had settled: much easier to obtain decent volume and a much neater hair front. Rest of the day: no need to restyle. Testing it out: restyled without tension, it softened up and that helped a lot! It stayed in its firm hold mode.
Build up:
Clean, waxy, more comfortable to work with on day 2: styled with damper hair plus more tonic on top, 2 small licks added. Took me a while to get styled.
Washing out:
Around 4 washes with shampoo, normal case for a waxy pomade. And it all depends on your type of hair, how much pomade there’s in, which shampoo and how much of it, scrub intensity. After rinsing, my hair was soft and conditioned as promised in the brewer’s description.
Hair, scalp issues:
None.
Similar pomade:
It reminds of: Rustin, strong oil based = latest edition with the glass jars.

Great pomade
I have medium thick black wavy hair this pomade keeps my hair in control all day without having to restyle this product is very versatile and can achieve a clean pomp or a little messier one finger combed its also very clean in that it doesn’t even feel like its oil based very clean feeling application is grippy but not much tug and pull washes out in about 3 washes for me I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who likes to switch up from finger combed to clean or anyone in to pomade
