Reuzel Pomade is a versatile water based product that allows you to control its strength and degree of shine.
Ruezel Pomade is strongest when applied to dry hair, for a heavy (90 weight) hold, blow dry the hair before applying. For a lighter (30 weight) hold, simply towel dry before applying.
Applying Reuzel Pomade: Work an ample amount of Pomade between the palms of your hands until it softens and then apply thoroughly through the hair from roots to ends.
Style: Simply comb, brush or hand style into the desired shape. Add more Pomade or more water as needed to perfect the style. Reuzel Pomade does not dry or harden in the hair so you can restyle as needed throughout the day without losing control or shine.

As far as Water Based Pomades go, this one is great ! It has a nice, subtle scent with a great hold. It also pairs great with it’s counterpart, Reuzel Green ! Grab a tin at this great price !

POMADE CLASSIFICATION
Reuzel red is water based, water soluble, a gel pomade, ‘ringing gel’ or an orthodox pomade.
INGREDIENTS
Water (Aqua, Eau), Ceteareth-25, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate-20, PEG-7 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Limonene D, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool, Lyral, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, CI 15510/Orange 4.
It has a chemical base.
SCENT
Coconut, malibu, a very sweet scent. It’s a bit overwhelming. You can smell it throughout the day. When you’re sensitive to scents, this can be a problem.
SCOOPING, MIXING
The pomade has a goldish color. There is no pressure needed to scoop it out. It has a tick, sticky texture like the most orthodox water based pomades.
APPLICATION
On damp hair for the best results. Not much tug and pull, it’s thick, sticky. It goes in easy and a few little scoops are enough to style your hair nicely. It gives a stable grip immediately.
SHINE
A medium shine that stays for the most throughout the day when you don’t not recom. So, it fades a little. When using a small amount of water, the medium shine rises.
HOLD IN NORMAL AND (HEAVY) WEATHER CONDITIONS
It has a strong-medium hold. Heavy wind and some rain don’t destroy your hair. If the pomade endures the heat: I did not test but I am certain it does when it’s not that hot. Holds the hair in place the whole day. It firms up a little, does not harden into a whelmet at all.
RESTYLING
I did not need water to restyle: there is bit of resistance. The hold is about the same after restyling.
WASHING OUT
You only need water to wash it out completely. Your hair and scalp feels slightly dry afterwards.
CONCLUSION
This is an average gel pomade. The price is okay. It’s not a game changer at all, nothing new or special. There is a lot of hype but why? Restyling needs no water, it keeps your hair in place all day. Not that much tug and pull. Nice medium shine. Weather has not a bad influence to mess up your hair. Your hair/scalp feels a bit dry after washing it. When you want a stronger hold, use the blue reuzel.
