Lighty Holiday from the Grease Day lineup is one of the best light holding pomades ever made. I have a collection of about sixty various grease\wax pomades (not partial to water based) and so have compared many of what we call home brews. The reason this feels so light and healthy in the hair is because of the incredibly fine ingredients. Take a look at the list and you’ll find this is a fine hair conditioner besides being a very light pomade. If you need a medium hold I would recommend using Reuzel green, ODoud’s, Big Slick dirty mint, or a host of others but follow with a top dressing of Lighty Day for its great shine and subtle lemon fruit scent that you really can’t put your finger on what scent it really is. Very refreshing.
Also any medium pomade that you notice is not really softening your hair such as the Big Slick line you can add this over the top lightly for the softening effect.
As a note ODouds seems to soften the hair as well over the course of the day and has a nice soft buildup after one shampoo. I mention this here because the Grease Day Lighty Day softens the hair and is indeed very light.
Don’t try to do a big pomp with this one. But you can add this to your medium pomade for the big doo.
A very high end product in my estimation.
